Model 7850 Multichannel Video Decoder

The Model 7850 is a companion decoder to Delta’s Model 7840R 4-Channel H.265 Video Encoder. It decodes up to four H.265/HEVC or H.264/AVC HD/SD video streams for real-time display.

With flexible, user-configurable interfaces, the 7850 packs the power of four decoders in a single, 1U rackmount chassis. The unit combines a high-speed multimedia SoC with a powerful FPGA to support multi-channel video processing.

Low-latency performance makes the 7850 ideal for real-time ISR and flight test applications. It accepts multiple-program streams through Ethernet or synchronous serial PCM ports and supports MPEG-2 transport streams and RTP/RTSP streaming.

The unit provides serial output for asynchronous user data and restores SDI-embedded metadata in accordance with SMPTE and MISB standards. It also supports stereo audio decompression and configuration through an out-of-band management port.
